Build confidence. Find your flow. Have fun on two wheels.

For Brooks, mountain biking is about freedom,
challenge, and discovering what you’re capable
of—and he loves helping young riders experience
that feeling, too.

With more than a decade of riding experience,
Brooks currently rides with Dialed Action Sports.
His goal as a coach is to help riders build
confidence, learn new skills, and enjoy the ride.

Whether your child is getting comfortable on
singletrack or ready for more challenging terrain,
Brooks helps them take their next step.

Coach Lori

Learn to Pedal

First pedal strokes. Proud smiles. Lasting memories.

Lori loves being outdoors, riding with friends,
and connecting with people along the way. For her,
biking opens the door to beautiful places you can’t
reach by car—and offers a way to explore while
caring for nature.

That joy is what she brings to coaching children
and adults learning to pedal. Her favorite moments?
Seeing a rider’s smile grow and confidence soar
as they discover they can do it.

She loves helping riders turn those first pedal
strokes into memories they’ll carry long after
the lesson ends.

Coach Sarah

MTB & Intro to Jumps and Drops

More joy. Less pressure. Plenty of trail smiles.

Sarah believes riding doesn’t have to be serious
to be meaningful. Bikes should bring joy, and
she brings that spirit to coaching with a calm
presence, easy humor, and plenty of encouragement.

Through volunteering with TAP, WOZ, Pedal It Forward,
Dirt Therapy, and OZASA, Sarah has helped more people
get on bikes—including adaptive riders—and discover
their place on the trails.

For riders building mountain bike skills or exploring
their first jumps and drops, Sarah keeps the experience
encouraging, approachable, and fun.

Coach Lawerence

Kansas City

A lifetime of riding. A love of sharing it.

A Kansas native, Lawerence brings decades of cycling
adventures to the Pedal Kids team—including two rides
across America and many years participating in MS 150
and Autumn Trails events.

As a dad and grandfather to girls, he knows some of
the best memories come from sharing an adventure.
Coaching gives him a way to share his love of biking
with the next generation.

Off the bike, this retired IT project manager and
Cisco engineer enjoys sailing, restoring vintage
radio consoles, and connecting local riders through
the KC eBikes Facebook group.

Coach Cole, Kansas City Learn to Pedal and mountain bike coach

Coach Cole

Kansas City • Learn to Pedal & MTB

Two wheels. A world of freedom.

Since he was young, riding bikes has given Cole
a sense of freedom unlike anything else—a chance
to explore, clear his mind, and enjoy the moment.

He brings that love of riding to coaching, whether
he’s helping a child learn to pedal, get comfortable
on mountain bike trails, or begin exploring jumps.

More than anything, Cole wants kids to experience
the same feeling of freedom that keeps him excited
to ride nearly every day.
