Teaching young kids to ride a bike is harder than most parents expect.
At Pedal Kids USA, we help families skip the stress and start with expert coaching, structured progression, and a fun, supportive environment built specifically for young riders.
Our Early Riders bike programs for kids ages 2-4 help children develop balance, coordination, bike skills, and confidence through play-based cycling classes designed for beginner riders.
Because this is about more than learning to ride a bike, it’s about helping your child build independence, resilience, healthy habits, and a lifelong love for outdoor adventure
Most bike programs aren’t designed for toddlers and preschoolers.
Ours are.
Our experienced instructors use games, obstacle courses, and age-appropriate activities to help kids learn bike riding skills in a way that feels exciting—not overwhelming.
We focus on:
Whether it’s your child’s first time on a bicycle or they’re already gliding around confidently, our classes meet riders at their current skill levels and help them progress step-by-step.

Every child develops differently, especially between the ages of 2 and 4. Our instructors meet riders where they are at their current skill level and help them progress step by step.
Depending on readiness and experience, our bike programs for kids may include:
As confidence grows, students begin learning how to pedal smoothly and ride on two wheels with control.
Children learn age-appropriate safety habits like braking, looking ahead, following directions, and wearing a helmet correctly.
Our programs help kids become more comfortable trying new things, overcoming fear, and building independence through cycling.
Kids participate in games and activities that encourage teamwork, listening, patience, and connection with other young riders.
Some young riders benefit from extra encouragement or one-on-one instruction.
Pedal Kids also offers private lessons designed to help children progress at their own pace with individualized support from experienced instructors.
Private lessons are great for:
Our goal is simple: help every child feel confident, capable, and excited to ride.

“Loved the guys in Buddy Pegs. They always have something for kids to engage. My kid went for bike class and it was his first time and awesome experience. They did a free helmet and bicycle check and update you if any changes required.”

“Ready to witness the evolution of your child into a biker? After one lesson with Lori, my training wheeled kiddo eagle glided right into balanced pedaling. The staff are well trained coaches who easily communicate with children as they safely guide them through their journey to mastering the basics of bike riding.”

“This crew is the best! They’ve helped us have size and skill appropriate bikes for kiddos for years. Also, our youngest just attended an BP adventure camp and has had an absolute blast. I wish I could give them 10 stars!”

Many children can begin balance bike programs as early as age 2. Our Early Riders classes are specifically designed for young kids ages 2–4. We begin teaching kids how to pedal independently & without training wheels at 3 years old.
In most cases, yes. Having the right bike size helps children develop confidence and balance more successfully.
Generally, no. Training wheels often interfere with balance development, which is the most important learn-to-ride skill.
That’s completely normal. Our instructors specialize in helping hesitant riders feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
Absolutely. We offer seasonal summer bike camps, classes, and programs designed specifically for young riders and beginners from ages 5-12 years old.
In most situations, Pedal Kids does not charge a fee to individual participants.
That said, local Presenting Organizations may charge participants to offset their costs.
Please check with your local Presenter to inquire about costs.
Your child doesn’t need another app.
They need movement, adventure, fresh air, joy, and freedom.
Pedal Kids USA gives families a clear path into cycling without the confusion, pressure, or frustration that causes so many kids to miss out on the lifelong benefits of riding.
Let’s help your child learn to ride, build confidence, and discover what they’re capable of.
